If you believe you have seen the height of stupidity watching Trump and the Trump voters, you haven't seen nothing yet.
Last night I watched Don't Pick Up The Phone on Netflix. It is a true event. I may have to seek therapy.
I will not give away what it is about. If you watch it be prepared to be shocked and sickened.

(6,640 posts)when they believe the requestor is in a position of authority.
Some years after the McDonalds incident there was a call made to a KFC somewhere in New England, if memory serves. The caller identified themselves as KFC management and instructed the manager to spray fire suppression foam all over the store. The caller advised that to decontaminate themselves from the chemicals, the three female store employees would then need to go outside, completely disrobe and then urinate on one another, which they promptly did. Police were tipped off when a customer called them to complain about the naked employees

(4,913 posts)People, from a young age, in small towns, small communities, are taught to trust people, people in authority. That can have consequences. I was brought up to not trust anybody, question everything that's doesn't seem right. That protects you.

(203 posts)Ann Dowd from The Handmaid's Tale is in it. It's disturbing and I was shocked it was based on a true story.

(3,157 posts)The program was well done. We really do have some extremely gullible people in this country. It's no wonder that someone like Trump was our president.

(41,637 posts)Actually there's an interesting sidebar story about this mini-series on ScreenRant, which is a movie and TV review blog.
(link) https://screenrant.com/what-happened-to-walter-nix-dont-pick-up-phone/
The mini-series is about real events, it's a true-crime documentary so the characters and victims are based on real people. This ScreenRant story does a follow-up on one of the people in the movie, he was actually sent to prison.
