are refusing to denounce Trump's disregard for the Constitution.

"Joyce, the chair of the Republican Governance Group, a centrist group in the House, was asked by ABC "This Week" anchor George Stephanopoulos to respond to Trump's post on Saturday on his Truth Social platform. The former president wrongly asserted that the "massive fraud" -- which did not occur -- "allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution."

Joyce initially declined to respond, saying he didn't know what Trump said on social media and that the public wasn't "interested in looking backwards." But Stephanopoulos pressed further, and Joyce ultimately said that Trump's comment should be taken "in context" but that it wouldn't prevent him from supporting Trump if he ends up winning the nomination. "

It’s time to challenge his candidacy. You can’t run to lead a constitutional government when calling for its overthrow.

Jefferson was asleep at his desk and Adams didn't think the country would last long enough for that to ever be a problem. Franklin was old, tired and said, "fuck it, you punks do what you want, I've got a sweet lady waiting in the anteroom, learn thy priorities guys, tata".

That whole originalist doctrine is predicated on using the "original" intent of the founders. But it's funny how the founders seem to believe the same things as the GOP, even when the GOP reverse their policies because it costs them votes.

elected Republicans on notice that they need to either speak up for democracy or let their silence communicate agreement with and subservience to Trump. They’re mostly silent about his outrageous statements, and the media needs to put then on the record. Do they stand for overturning the Constitution, or do they stand for democracy? Of course, the media will do no such thing.
