I have a renewed appreciation tonight for how smoothly DU works

It takes a lot of attention to keep things "rolling like a ball bearing in a greased groove".

As I test out DU4, I am impressed by what it has to have taken to keep DU up-to-date--something so many sites (often with 100x the resources) have struggled to do.
