"SNIP.......

Amanda Carpenter: “Trump—who dragged his party to midterm losses in 2018, lost the White House in 2020 ........, incited an insurrectionist mob into attacking the U.S. Capitol, was impeached twice, and contributed to yet another GOP midterm flop last week—sneered and grimaced through his announcement. He slow-read prepared remarks in a monotone, digressing to riff on whatever non sequitur popped into his mind.”

“Maybe Trump’s spirits were low because he read the terrible press coverage running up to his announcement and could see the faces in the crowd, which were nothing close to the assembly of GOP elite he commanded in rallies past. The biggest bold-faced names spotted in the crowd were a grifter’s row of deplorables and has-beens: Roger Stone, Madison Cawthorn, Mike Lindell, and Dick Morris.”

.......SNIP"

You see Biden as aged, though I agree against ageism. I see his age in office as an accomplishment Bernardo de La Paz Nov 2022 #6

... an accomplishment worth saluting and remarking on.

When Reagan took office he was the oldest to win and serve.
When tRump won and took office he was the oldest to win and "serve".
Biden is the oldest person to win and serve.

Fact.

Deal with it.

This is a very weird response. Are you talking at me???

I deeply admire Joe Biden, supported him in 2020 even before he announced, and wholeheartedly support him today.

I think history will judge him as one of the greatest US presidents.

I object to ageist attacks made on him by supposed allies.

Deal with that.

The way this reads, it's very easy to interpret it as saying 'look what a loser Trump is, after all, he lost to a super-old guy!'.

Had he lost to Obama in 2008 instead of McCain, and the article said "he lost to the first Black Man ever elected POTUS" ... in the same spot in the article, you'd be like ... WTF, right?
