Donate and Volunteer for Warnock if You Don't Want To Be Ruled By Manchin

While some folks might think it may not matter if we Castro wins in Nevada, all that will do is get us to 50-50. If you want to ensure that Manchin is not calling all the shots again in the Senate, then you need to support Warnock's run-off. Also, in case things go south in Nevada, we will need Warnock to win.

Also, you can donate through Act Blue.

3. Even if Warnock wins, Manchin will likely remain the most powerful man in America

Sinema, however, can be kicked to the curb more easily.

We will still need one of them to support any pending legislation; Sinema seems to follow Manchin’s lead in obstruction, not the other way around. If Manchin’s Fossil Fuel priorities are satisfied, he is more likely to support tax hikes on the rich and negotiating drug prices, which Sinema opposes.

Neither of them will vote to kill the filibuster, and Manchin has been making rumblings about “reforming” SS and Medicare…so, even with 51, it’s still likely a rocky road ahead (and moot if we lose the house).

Biden should get all his judges approved though.

6. Exactly. You need 1 of the 2 for any Reconciliation bill.

Manchin is the one who understands Dems needs to deliver something, Sinema doesn't seem to know what her job is.

We did 300 postcards for his special election two years ago, with colors and special messages. I have too much arthritis for that now.

7. But then you have a bidding war between the two, rather than just WV.

In other words, Manchin will always be weak on fossil fuels. In contrast, Sinema might be more inclined to vote for clean energy bills that promote residential solar given that her State bakes. For example, incentives for residential solar might be great for Arizona, but not WV. These are two very different states, so Sinema could be tempted to cut a deal for bills that really benefit Arizona over West Virginia.
