I don't want him to die, ... yet. I want the orange fuck locked up and broke. Then he can die.
If he dies before being prosecuted, nothing gets resolved. We need to lock him the fuck up to save this democracy.
Dying would be too good for the traitor. He needs to be made an example of.

(10,599 posts)How many crimes has TFG committed in the last 7 years? How many has he committed during his entire miserable life?
I'll believe that he'll suffer consequences, when I see some indictments, and not before. ANY other individual would have already, so until this point, he's above the law.

(10,599 posts)He hasn't been charged with so much as a misdemeanor.
I was charged with one 34 years ago, and had to enter a plea in court for possession of about an 1/8th of marijuana here in CA. I have more on my record than he does, but I guess that's because I'm not above the law.

(10,599 posts)Fact is, 22 months after January 6, 21 months after he stole Government documents, there is not a single charge against him.
If it ever happens, I'll say that I was wrong, and Grossly underestimated Mr. Garland. For now though, he's lived his entire life being unaccountable.
How long can people keep saying that a lack of action, doesn't mean there won't be any action? At what point does a lack of action mean that there's a lack of action, end of story?

Trump is above the law. You are not. You will go to prison and he wont. Its because of who you are and who he is. Just accept it and find your peace with it.

(82,383 posts)we need to not accept it even if nothing happens. That no one is above the law is a very important concept of our government.

(55,137 posts)I would love to see him drawn and quartered....the good, old fashioned way. Go medieval on his fat, white ass! He must suffer the pain of the hundreds of thousands he murdered with his policies, especially Covid. I want slow, tortuous agony and I want to be the person cheering in the front row as it happens, like in the old Roman Colosseum days. Of course my sister and I would have to fight over who gets the best seat to watch. She's older so she will probably be the lucky one. We fantasize about tRump and McConnell dying.

(5,126 posts)When his consequences hit him so hard he is broke and no one will take his calls or listen to his rants.
When family and friends turn away and refuse to listen.
When people on the street walk the other way and flip him off as an after thought.
Yeah, when he has THE BEST Cardboard BOX in the homeless encampment and wakes up in the morning to find everyone moved away due to the stink of his presence.
Yah. Like that?

However .....
KNOWING that he can't sleep, is nervous (Per his niece), is having to use bigger diapers because he has a sick stomach, knowing that HIS treasonous, putin-loving ass feels the noose tightening around his fat, red neck, and that the heat is melting his diaper from the back side
He's visibly becoming more and more UNHINGED .... that's a sign of being panicked, worried, and scared

The JFK conspiracy nuts were finally dying off. Now we get them on this...thing's death conspiracy. And for that.
At least the JFK nuts were nuts about a decent human being, rather than the worst piece of filth ever vomited into existence.

I just want nature to take its course and remove him. Natural causes of course.
Hes a once in a lifetime craven and apparently charismatic to some force that will hopefully disappear with him.
Desantis is a thug and a bully and a fascist but he doesnt have the same showmanship skills and/or the ability to delude himself like trump.
Trump is a bald faced liar without an once of shame. Hes way more dangerous than anyone out there - a good myocardial infarction would go a long way toward healing this country.

(1,766 posts)It's just in the open now.
The law has always protected the privileged, and did not bind them. For the rest of us, the law binds, but does not protect.
Our so-called justice system has always been corrupt. People are only now waking up to that reality.
Prairie_Seagull
(4,688 posts)the appearance of the rule of law. It is most important IMO that people believe that ROL exists regardless of inconsistencies in it's application.
TFG has gone so far in his malfeasance that norms have been compromised and without his paying for this with conviction I believe as a country, we my very well be in a new place. A scarier place. A more lawless place.
