Thank you Diane Thomas for making this story known on Twitter and elsewhere.

Brian Kemp is no friend of the Black people of Georgia. Before he became the Governor, Kemp was Georgia's Secretary of State from 2012 to 2018. During that time he had voter registration rolls purged of thousands of voters by comparing the voter IDs against the drivers license info. Many of those purged voters were Democratic and Black. He went on to win the Governorship in 2018 - running against Stacey Abrams - by about 50,000 votes. (Less than 1.5% of the votes cast.) Did his 2017 voter purge seal the deal and win the Governorship for Kemp? It was entirely possible, but it cannot be proven.
