For an R he wasn't the worst we could have had.
I will be backing Maura Healey for Governor! MA deserves a Democrat.
Excited to make history!!

(97,622 posts)This is pretty normal. The ran and damp aren't helping any. I am now wearing socks and slippers at home along with layers of clothing. I am not about to turn on the heat just yet.
Not sure what part of the country you came from, some of our winters are brutal with the snow storms. One year we had back to back Nor'easters every three days. It looks pretty yet it is hell to shovel.
Good luck
So I'm from California. The coldest winter I have ever experienced at home was in the 20s. I'm bracing for the single digits we are probably going to be getting in January and February lol
Also: how do I avoid slipping on ice and breaking my head open come December and January?
With the wind chill factor, it will be less than single digits.
As for slipping and breaking your head? Most places take care and use plenty of rock salt/ice melt. For your home use it on steps and walkways. Driveways? Walk with care.
History of a few storms:

It happens
You will be fine.
