Republicans must view life as something akin to a video game.

They win the video game if they manage to fuck over their opponent in the game.

They try to make their opponent lose by using dirty tactics. Cheat codes, distraction, whatever it takes, rather than making themselves win by using knowledge and skill. The longer they play the game, the harder they cheat. And they "win" without gaining skill.

They can then gloat over the fact that they "won" the game.

That's how I view the "dirty" politics that republicans engage in.

Zero sum. Making someone else lose makes them a winner. Doesn't matter what tactics are used. Nobody really wins with this mindset. No one gains any gaming skills. Rather, they gain cheating skills. No one progresses, no one actually becomes better at the game.

And then, someday, they die. like everyone dies.

And maybe in their last moment of consciousness, they flash on the fact that they have not accomplished a fucking thing by trying to make other people lose the game.

Or, maybe they don't.

Maybe they think they "won" something.

even though the players take knives onto the field. You're right. It's all
about winning at all costs. That's why they have to take the back seat
in running the most powerful country in the world. They have NO ability
NOR desire to work for the common good. Every one of them a pirate.
Like some asshole in a lifeboat that eats all the food, they will kill us all unless
we find a way to control/contain them.
