A BIG victory for TX @LULAC, @votolatino and the voters of Texas. Congrats to the amazing @EliasLawGroup team!

(3,040 posts)Crooked Paxton will appeal asking SCOTUS to take up the case?
GB_RN
(3,560 posts)Is Paxton a crook and under federal indictment (still)?
And does he have a lazy eye?
Answer: You bet.

(3,193 posts)Just a feeling. All those guys that focus so much on the genitalia of others are pretty suspect to me.

(18,060 posts)I think the repukes are messing their pants right now lamenting on how badly they miscalculated the backlash they would get on the overturning of Roe v Wade, even repuke women are voting against the suppression of women's rights to reproductive health and choices and now this, TX has suffered a major defeat in their quest to allow only the "correct" citizens to vote.

(10,635 posts)But I'm sure Texas will appeal it.
MarineCombatEngineer
(18,060 posts)but I'm not too sure that SCOTUS will even take it up, especially after the disastrous Roe v Wade ruling.
We'll find out soon enough.

(23,882 posts)That's just how those rotten people operate. Watch the waves of pulchritude since Nixon onward.
They'll slink off for a couple of years, polish their messages, spray on some deodorant and come back out. All funded by Thiel, Koch, Mercer, Murdoch, etc.
Just imagine if they spent their energy doing something good for the world.... No, I can't imagine it either.

(13,480 posts)There are many others, and I hope those lawsuits have a similar outcome. I dont remember exactly what the controversy was over SB1111, but it may have been partly Republicans desire to prevent college students from voting. Republicans have long made it difficult, especially for out-of-state students now living in Texas, to vote.
