as are Republicans who favor abortion rights. We are down to 1 Democrat who opposes abortion rights in each house (and Manchin actually is on record favoring some). The GOP might have 5 house members and 2 senators who favor abortion. The parties have largely sorted on this issue and I don't see a party managing to have significant numbers on both sides of this issue.

as long as they don't think that the power of the state should be weaponized to enforce their opposition.

Like I have told my priest, you can preach all you want that adultery is a sin, but the church would never organize, or use its power and influence to get the power of the state to jail adulterers, or deny them employment or housing.

That's exactly what this is...

We only learned after the fact that Roger Stone and Roy Cohn bribed a NY State official $125,000 to get Anderson on the ballot in 1980.

Ostensibly to divide votes on the left versus Ronald Reagan.

Whatever or whoever is driving this effort won't give up.

Given tonight's election results I doubt this will go anywhere but what a waste of time, money, and resources. All of which should be going to saving Democracy.

...so they could avoid voting for Trump but still not vote for "THAT WOMAN!"

There were three times as many of them as there were people who voted Green, and they put Trump in office.

Hosts and regular guests of political talking-head shows. heck, they still treat it like it was some kind of movement, not the Glenn Beck fan club and a rebranding effort to distance themselves from George Bungleya Bush.

Except for that time we were in the middle of a drought and I showed up for a debate and the sprinklers were on during a rainstorm.

Anyway, I would infinitely prefer Whitman to most of the alleged Republicans running the show now.
