Where are the images of the war room, video of the Oath Keepers moving their weapons into the hotel in Va., communications by/between those who paid for this & did the planning- Tario and Stone, Flynn, Ginni etc.???

(7,366 posts)They have shown Republican testimony against Trump and have made great strides in illustrating the huge divide in the Republican Party between the law-abiding and the unlawful.
This achievement will cause more Republicans turn away from the extremist anti-democracy Republicans.

(4,913 posts)She said they have so much evidence they did not have time to show it all. There are still more hearings coming in September.
I would like to hear more about the war room.

Disgusting. And all the cowards who had the ability to 25 his ugly evil ass the night of Jan 6
and for whatever reason (kompromat? Ties to Epstein? we will likely never know) THEY DID NOTHING.
A few of them resigned- How courageous of them.
His cabinet should be investigated too.

With less manpower and resources, the select committee is outpacing DOJ.

(32,354 posts)The Committee performed beyond my most fervent expectations. Last night's shredding of the remains of Josh Hawley's public career was a bonus.
Want to express righteous anger about under-achievement by a governmental entity? Try Merrick Garland's Department of Justice...

(25,816 posts)If they were to try and cover every aspect of the treason and treachery that surrounded J-6, there
would have to be dozens more hearings.
Imagine if there was such a committee to investigate all of the Russian ties in tfg's administration.
The degree of criminality in that administration would require a year long hearing, meeting every day.
It's certainly not wrong to want more evil doing exposed, I want that too, but the J-6 Committee is
doing a great job so far--more to come in September!

(6,115 posts)That said, I was a little bit underwhelmed with last night's hearing compared to some of the other hearings.
I would have preferred they go more in depth regarding the timeline of the call to the National Guard that Pence made and the "go home" video, and connected those dots.
I believe the orange asshole told them to go home at that point because he was afraid his cultists would think he turned the NG on them, and he looked like a pussy because he didn't give that order - it came from Pence and he couldn't tell them that. I wish the committee would have talked more about that.

(9,289 posts)IMHO, the really scary part is that most Republicans want a Christo-Fascist autocracy and the "elimination" of all opposition.

(2,297 posts)This is all Magaworld has left after the J6s definitive recitation of the facts of Trumps leadership of an attempted coup, the complaint that a piece of evidence is missing. No matter how much evidence is presented, they will always require something more, however peripheral or irrelevant. Gaslighting, in other words, is all they have left.
Im not saying the OP was gaslighting, just that Magaworlds response to J6 committee will look like this.

(666 posts)Its probably only being watched by majority Democrats and its not being conducted like a trial in the sense that theres no cross examination. I think cross examination would have brought more eyeballs to the TV. Right now were getting the side of those testifying without any real pushback.
I think most people have already made up their minds about J6, and it falls along party lines like one would expect. I keep seeing claims here that its going to move the needle, but thats just wishful thinking. Lots of wishful thinking going around.

(11,852 posts)Who would you have "cross examine" the witnesses? They're already being questioned by both Democratic and Republican members. This is a hearing, not a court trial. A hearing brings out the information and examines it. A trial judges the info and metes punishment as necessary.
