They have shown Republican testimony against Trump and have made great strides in illustrating the huge divide in the Republican Party between the law-abiding and the unlawful.

This achievement will cause more Republicans turn away from the extremist anti-democracy Republicans.

If they were to try and cover every aspect of the treason and treachery that surrounded J-6, there
would have to be dozens more hearings.
Imagine if there was such a committee to investigate all of the Russian ties in tfg's administration.
The degree of criminality in that administration would require a year long hearing, meeting every day.
It's certainly not wrong to want more evil doing exposed, I want that too, but the J-6 Committee is
doing a great job so far--more to come in September!

That said, I was a little bit underwhelmed with last night's hearing compared to some of the other hearings.

I would have preferred they go more in depth regarding the timeline of the call to the National Guard that Pence made and the "go home" video, and connected those dots.

I believe the orange asshole told them to go home at that point because he was afraid his cultists would think he turned the NG on them, and he looked like a pussy because he didn't give that order - it came from Pence and he couldn't tell them that. I wish the committee would have talked more about that.

This is all Magaworld has left after the J6s definitive recitation of the facts of Trumps leadership of an attempted coup, the complaint that a piece of evidence is missing. No matter how much evidence is presented, they will always require something more, however peripheral or irrelevant. Gaslighting, in other words, is all they have left.

I’m not saying the OP was gaslighting, just that Magaworld’s response to J6 committee will look like this.

It’s probably only being watched by majority Democrats and it’s not being conducted like a trial in the sense that there’s no cross examination. I think cross examination would have brought more eyeballs to the TV. Right now we’re getting the side of those testifying without any real pushback.

I think most people have already made up their minds about J6, and it falls along party lines like one would expect. I keep seeing claims here that it’s going to move the needle, but that’s just wishful thinking. Lots of wishful thinking going around.

Who would you have "cross examine" the witnesses? They're already being questioned by both Democratic and Republican members. This is a hearing, not a court trial. A hearing brings out the information and examines it. A trial judges the info and metes punishment as necessary.
