DON'T LET MITT PIVOT on his previous FEMA position. They are trying!!
Mitt Romney refused to answer reporters' questions about how he would handle the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), after a Tuesday "storm relief" event in Ohio for Hurricane Sandy.
From the Romney pool report:
A follow-up report noted the specific questions Romney ignored, as he was collecting hurricane supplies following his event:
"Gov are you going to eliminate FEMA?" a print pooler shouted, receiving no response.
Wires reporters asked more questions about FEMA that were ignored.
Romney kept coming over near pool to pick up more water. He ignored these questions:
"Gov are you going to see some storm damage?"
"Gov has [New Jersey Gov.] Chris Christie invited you to come survey storm damage?"
"Gov you've been asked 14 times, why are you refusing to answer the question?"

I'm surprised they even asked him, but good for them. They should keep asking until he can no longer refuse to respond. And if he still doesn't, they should include in their reports that they DID ask him, they should report on what he already said during the primaries, and then report on his refusal to respond to their questions.

(14,923 posts)is NOT too late at all. Treat this last week as football's 2 minute warning, you have the ball with all your time outs and you're ahead in the score. You control the clock and now throw into the mix a no-huddle strategy to keep their defense tired and disoriented.
We own the clock now and should keep driving until we run it out.

I still wouldn't agree with him if he did, but the lack of response is a lack of leadership.
