So when is Putin scheduled for his heart-attack?

According to Bloomberg, it doesn't seem soon. Or does it?

"Almost eight weeks after Vladimir Putin sent troops into Ukraine, with military losses mounting and Russia facing unprecedented international isolation, a small but growing number of senior Kremlin insiders are quietly questioning his decision to go to war.

. . .

So far, these people see no chance the Russian president will change course and no prospect of any challenge to him at home. More and more reliant on a narrowing circle of hardline advisers, Putin has dismissed attempts by other officials to warn him of the crippling economic and political cost, they said."

Does "no prospect of any challenge" mean "competing view" or "challenge to his position/life"? Unfortunately the latter seems more likely.

conveniently fall out of a window. It's happened to a number of his vocal critics, the ones who weren't found dead of gunshot wounds or poisoning.

going on in the circle closest to Putin. It’ll boil down to who believes they will wind up on top if Putin goes down. While the intelligence community has suffered setbacks due to bad intelligence out of Ukraine they are uniquely situated to neutralize Putin’s supporters. IMHO, it’s just a matter of time. They are all criminals and would have to be blind to not see the weakness of their current Godfather.

That showed pooptin at a podium, a large group of military officers seat behind him. He was speaking at some unidentified deal maybe in the past year or so. There were several shots of the faces of the officers, it was scary, almost all of them looked to be of advanced age which means these are his heavies left over from the cold war. And that seems to be where they are trapped psychologically and culturally.
