(edited to add I'm referring to yesterday, not today's apprehension of the suspect)

The scene looked pretty awful when I finally saw footage of it last night, and thankfully, through providence, luck, or coincidence, no one died.

And the bad guy is in custody.

. . . . . a suspect, or at worst, an accused person, is in custody.

Probably him, but we can't say until he is tried and convicted. That's why even the news calls them "suspects".

gun jammed. I read a story on CNN. Apparently, he left behind the car keys to the UHaul, a gun among other things purchased by him in 2011...it is him even though I suppose we should use alleged and all but seriously, this is the guy and sounds open and shut.
