LOS ANGELES (AP) A hiker who went missing two weeks ago was found dead in Griffith Park with his dog by his side, authorities said. The dog apparently hadnt left Hernandezs side for two weeks.
Oscar Alejandro Hernandez, 29, was reported missing on March 16. His body was found Thursday night in a remote area of the sprawling urban park. His Golden Retriever, King, was emaciated but alive, having faithfully remained with his owner until his body was discovered.
Hernandez was last seen near the park merry-go-rounds hiking trails, according to a missing person flier posted by his family. A search and rescue team used a helicopter to remove Hernandezs body from the steep hillside near a merry-go-round in the east end of the park. There was no immediate word on the cause of his death.

I am sorry for the poor young man, though. I wonder what happened to him? At least he had his faithful friend by him at the end.
