(151,269 posts)Despite not going straight for the throat regarding Trump and high level targets, he was solid in his assurances that they're on this, and on it hard.
I am encouraged.

(53,544 posts)Those at the bottom are more scared and looking for a way out. And that way out involves implicating those above them.

(10,685 posts)in a few areas in particular. He seemed to make clear that they would go after everyone who was involved in the coup attempt no matter how high up they were. There was one segment where he appeared to speak directly to Manchin and Sinema about Congress ensuring everyone can vote and that vote must count.

(17,506 posts)For a speech from the Atty General of the US, it was bad. Admittedly, only heard the end of it, but it was cringe-worthy, especially the bothsiderism.
I thought it showed Garland does not have a realistic view of the current world he is in. It cemented my belief that Biden should never have handed over DoJ to Garland as a consolation prize for being denied a seat on SCOTUS due to McConnell's obstructionism. DoJ needs a strong leader, not a former federal judge who seems to be running DoJ as if he were still on the bench enforcing rules that make things fair to both sides.
If I were Biden, I'd be appalled and being asking for Garland's resignation by the end of the day.
