Blah blah blah you have a right to not get vaxxed. Fine. Then business and government have a right to tell you that youre not welcome to patronize or you cant get on a plane. Because what right do you think you have to expose my kids to your Covid? As parents, lets own the outrage. The looney carnival barkers at the school board meetings DO NOT reflect where most parents are. Your unvaxxed status is creating new variants. So get your damn shot. Or, stay inside your house. But dont mess with my kids.

Rep. Swalwell was correct. The loud minority always gets all of the medias attention. He is also right about the unvaccinated created an environment for the virus to mutate and prosper. The unvaccinated are hosts that allow new variants of COVID to spread with ease.

Eventually, America will either impose a vaccine mandate or allow the unvaccinated to die for their warped death cult definition of freedom, but most Americans are tired of trying to save those who dont want to be saved. - PoliticusUSA
Fuck the unvaccinated! Assholes!

(4,388 posts)care will be relegated to tents that will be set up for COVID patients in the parking lots of hospitals and if they don't like it they will be turned away. These anti-vaxers need to feel the wrath that they are inflicting on others.

(90,010 posts)It should be the FIRST question that theyre asked - anywhere, for any reason.
Are you vaccinated?
And if not, say goodbye to your freedoms. Your freedom-freedom does NOT ean youre free to spread a potentially lethal virus around.
I dont give a damn what your lame-ass excuse or Pox Noise-induced rationale is. Wear the damn mask, DAMMIT!

(22,174 posts)If possible and legal i would like to see the HOSPITALS decide to set up OUTSIDE tents or WHATEVER to care for the UNVAXXED! This is NOT for Joe to do, BUT, it is i think ok for the hospitals to do just so NORMAL care can be given to people that need it!
To ADD here i feel THIS would show that the un-vaxxed better decide SOON to get the shot or else.

(14,180 posts)Have triage tents set up outside.
That is the whole purpose of triage, and sorry, but an unvaxxed person with COVID symptoms can wait. They can think of it as a time for deep, personal reflection.
A major hospital here did have quonset huts set up outside at the height of the pandemic. Never really heard how many people it treated there. The critical care units were full for months, though.

(22,174 posts)Un-vaxxed need to KNOW this is how it is if they refuse to get the fucking set of shots. Why can't hospitals DO THIS? That would be AWESOME!!!

(4,503 posts)Every one should have to show proof of vaccines (3) before you can go into a hospital. If you have COVID and refused vaccines for what ever reason, you are not allowed in for visiting, treatments, follow-ups or the emergency room.
Just go home and save resources for those who are trying to protect themselves, families, neighbors and co-workers.
You are not trying to end this pandemic and you do not get our help.

(24,721 posts)People are dying from treatable and curable ailments in hospital hallways because beds are full of the willfully unvaccinated. Every damned one of them should be sent home to deal with the mess they created for themselves so that vaccinated people can receive the care they deserve. Not to mention the stress and strain this is causing our medical professionals.

(13,474 posts)If they lose jobs because of the refusal to get the vaccine, Republicans are paying them unemployment even though they were fired for reason.
The Washington Post has an article today about red states paying unvaccinated people.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/11/29/florida-iowa-kansas-tennessee-unemployment-benefits-fired-covid-vaccine-requirements/
Republicans are using the pandemic as an election strategy just as they did for the 2010 when they blamed Obama for the economic mess of the Great Recession, which they caused in the first place. Republicans made huge gains in that election, and theyre planning for the same in 2022.
But building solidarity with fellow culture warriors isnt the only benefit for Republicans.
These policies also undermine federal efforts to get the pandemic under control, which the right then blames Biden for not controlling. They also might help sabotage the economic recovery, which the right will also blame Biden for not sufficiently juicing.
Its their same old blame game, and many voters just roll over and vote for Republicans even when they offer nothing better and actually deliver much worse as their history shows.

(22,582 posts)I hope businesses start raising a ruckus about this! And maybe they will. After all, it affects their bottom line.
What was that about the GOP being the party that supports business? Oh, that's right. They're not.

(26,008 posts)the disinformation about vaccines are the same people who fall for other kinds of rumors and gossip, what we now call "urban legends" and in the past called "old wives' tales."
For example, when I was a kid, there was a family of siblings at school who never brushed their teeth. They used gum and breath fresheners to avoid mouth odor, but said they didn't even own toothbrushes. They believed that toothbrushing wears down the enamel of teeth and causes cavities.
Naturally we laughed at the idea because they had dental health backward. But it's what their mother had told them so they could not be persuaded by facts. Her "reasoning" sounded logical to her and to them except that she didn't have basic facts to base it on, e.g. that tooth enamel is too strong to be eroded by the brushes. In her mind, if candy could wear through enamel, so could toothbrushes.
That's the kind of "thinking" that makes people believe ridiculous claims about vaccines and about "natural cures and preventions" against covid. If there is simple logic to what they hear, and it comes from someone they trust, then they believe it. Since they have no understanding of vaccines or of basic biology, trying to inform them sounds too complicated and therefore bogus to them.

(458 posts)But if you don't drink and drive your chances of avoiding a car accident or even death is significantly reduced.
It's the same logic with the vaccine. The vaccine significantly reduces the chances of infection, hospitalization or death.

So for that reason, I would say that vaccinated people are MUCH less likely to spread it because we're the ones you see with masks on these days.

(22,582 posts)After almost two years, I'm freaking sick to death of this crap.
The first year was the scariest, but at least it felt like we were all in this together. NOW, it feels like some of us are trying like hell to do all the right things (masks, vaccination, etc.), while another bunch of people are farting around spreading this garbage everywhere without a care in the world, until they get sick themselves, and then they're like, "Oh, woe is me, this covid crud is terrible, who knew? Please give me the vaxx now, kthnx. What do you mean it's too late? Oh noooooo."
And we're supposed to feel sorry for them? Well, sorry, not sorry. Except for all the people they probably gave it to. UGH.
FUCK THEM ALL.
