It was in Denver in the 60s. The first time a guy tried to break into her house, she called the police. They came, but the guy had run away. They told her that if he came back, to shoot him, drag the body inside, and then call them. She did.

I don't own any such weapon, but then, nor do I live within 4000 miles of Pennsylvania, so there is no danger of that happening with me, but I think a few such instances, well-publicized, would dissuade a few of them. I know, I know, don't sink to their level. But if they refuse to stop, and local Law Enforcement refuses to stop them, there aren't many other alternatives, are there?
