AP via Yahoo NewsBiden, speaking during an event marking the 100th anniversary of the Tulsa race massacre, responded to critics who question why he hasnt been able to get a wide-reaching voting rights bill passed.
Well, because Biden only has a majority of effectively four votes in the House, and a tie in the Senate with two members of the Senate who voted more with my Republican friends, he lamented.

(5,276 posts)Do they not comprehend the peril were in, the all out assault on our democracy? That they put themselves at risk for unflattering mentions in future history books and documentaries?
How clueless must they be?

(6,991 posts)I have friends living here in California who "escaped" just about the time that crazy man in WV started his rise to power there in the 1990's, and they've always hated his guts. We know WHY. They were right about him, all these years later. I have friends in Arizona in the retirement community--mostly Democrats and a few Republicans--and they tell me that Sinema's catching REAL anger there, as many who voted for her and they're grown to hate her with a passion, which is why her numbers are cratering, yet they tell me that she's still off in la la land, totally unaware, and blissful (Yeah, I don't believe that), thinking that she's doing the right thing for the Democratic party and those who voted for her. She's NOT and probably doesn't care to read the room possibly because of all the 'alleged' dark money that's being funneled to her from dark political forces on the alt-right.
