For Biden, the White House is 'a Monday-through-Friday kind of place'

(CNN) Beginning in 1973, when he was a United States Senator from Delaware, Joe Biden had a ritual: nearly every evening he would hop a train back to Wilmington after his work day on Capitol Hill, spending most nights and weekends at the place he considered home, 100 miles from Washington.

Doing so earned him the nickname "Amtrak Joe," and in 2011, the Wilmington depot was renamed the Joseph R. Biden Jr. Railroad Station. In all, he took more than 8,000 of those roundtrips during his 36 years in the Senate and, though less frequently, his eight years as vice president, no small feat for a busy politician.

Turns out old habits die hard.

Since taking office four months ago, the President has spent more weekends away from the White House than he has stayed there, almost three times as many. Counting this Memorial Day weekend, Biden has been in Wilmington nine weekends and passed five weekends at the presidential retreat, Camp David, in rural Maryland. The numbers far exceed any modern president's weekends off-campus at this point in his tenure.

This is total horse manure, and garbage like this really annoys the crap out of me!

First, Camp David is ON campus, it's not a vacation home. Second, did they sleep through the last four years?

It took only a few seconds to find this:

Trump's first year: President spent 38 weekends at his own properties

Since Donald Trump took office last January, we tracked where he spent each of his first 52 weekends in office.

On at least 38 weekends, he visited at least one his properties.

Translation: For every 10 weekends that Trump was in office, about seven of them included a visit to a Trump property. He's also expected to kick off his second year in office down at Mar-a-Lago this weekend.

Trump's travels draw attention to his own properties, something that critics argue boost for the Trump Organization and put money into the president's own pockets.

2. President Biden has learned how to accomplish things without killing himself.

It's probably one of the reasons he is as fit as he is. Both he and the First Lady do more in one week than the previous people did in a couple of months, perhaps more. I somehow suspect that he doesn't sit in front of the TV on Saturday and Sunday. Men and women like this don't. They use their time consciously and get the most out of each day. I'd put money on Biden working several hours a day on both Saturday and Sunday, just not IN the White House. These stories make me angry. Anything that tries to compare Joe Biden and Donald Trump is just garbage. They aren't even in the same universe.

he probably still does more work during that weekend at home than that former A-Hole did all week while at the WH.

And my blood pressure still sucks from it
487 Days At Camp David For Bush

George W. Bush is today making his final visit to Camp David as president.
He will likely miss the place: According to CBS News White House Correspondent Mark Knoller, today's trip marks Mr. Bush's 149th visit to the presidential retreat. The planned three-day stay, during which the president is being joined by family and former and current aides, will bring his total time spent at Camp David to all or part of 487 days.

Yes, that's 487 days. And Camp David is not even where the president has spent the most time when not at the White House: Knoller reports that Mr. Bush has made 77 visits to his ranch in Crawford during his presidency, and spent all or part of 490 days there.

And how many days did the orange menace spend at Lard-o-fatso?

Well ... can’t find a definitive number ... but here is from 2017 (so less than a year in ...

The US leader has spent 13 of his 28 weekends away from the White House - mostly at his Mar-a- Lago resort in Florida’s Palm Beach or in Bedminster, New Jersey.

...and present the REAL facts. So the exaggerations and outright lies are out there unopposed.

In four short months it looks like Biden may wind up being one of the hardest working Presidents ever.

And even though he's in Delaware this weekend, he's made a couple of official and quasi-official appearances, and I'm sure he'll do something for Memorial Day tomorrow.

Your second link pretty much confirms the story from USA Today that I had in my OP.

Plus, like you, the CNN crap made my blood boil.

8. I frankly don't have a problem with any President spending weekends out side the White House

except for when Trump did so to enrich himself by staying at his own properties and changing the Secret Service full rates. I have full memories of Reagan through Biden and some memories of Carter. Reagan had the Western White House at which he spent many a weekend, Bush 1 had Kennebunkport again many a weekend, Clinton didn't really spend a lot of time out of the WH as he didn't have a home when he was elected, Bush 2 went to Camp David and Crawford, Obama was quite like Clinton some trips to Chicago but not a ton, Trump at his properties charging the SS massive amounts, and now Biden at Camp David and Delaware. So what.
