My mom liked Eisenhower. I guess we all kind of liked him.

It has been mentioned in a few recent books at how he so irritated many in his party. After 20 years of FDR and Truman the Roger Stone types were giddy that finally a Republican would get in there and peel back the massive rich folks tax hikes FDR got enacted to pull us out of Great Depression that Truman let stand.

Eisenhower instead actually raised the rates a bit.....one result of that is our Freeway System.

And again in his farewell message to the nation his big warning to the future was to guard against undue influence being obtained, sought or unsought by the Military Industrial Complex.

A God only knows what his thoughts would have been about Trump.

because he thought he was a "showboat." Ike would have pulled out all of his hair (oh, wait.....) with IQ45!
