(4,488 posts)your experience seems to be much like a lot of the other 50 million people who got vaccinated. many of them also made a thread about it.

(12,046 posts)Im curious because I have the 2nd Moderna scheduled in the morning in 3 wks and a meeting later that day. I didnt have any effect from the 1st except a sore shoulder but thats been bothering me if I need to reschedule the 2nd based on all these reports I read of side effects.

Google maps sent us to the wrong place and and the people there sent us to the second wrong place. We went home and got on the phone. County Health District person very nice and helpful. We got to the right place an hour and a half late. No problemmo!
Everybody working there was very nice. It was just like living in America.

(79,371 posts)A good friend of mine just got the second Moderna shot and had the same symptoms for 48 hours.
It came on suddenly and then went away just as suddenly.

(6,448 posts)is a teacher. She also has received both of her shots from Moderna. She was fine day 1 and day 2. Her fever, chills, stiffness started on day 3. Day 4 she was down but by day 5 feeling better. She doesn't know if the fact that she has Lupus may be the cause for her difference from others.

(16,385 posts)It was my first shot and I got a fever on day 2 that lasted until day 5. I dont have any autoimmune diseases so Im not sure why I had a delayed, longer reaction.

(5,009 posts)Now I'm hearing I may need a booster. But that's OK. I'll do it. Yesterday was like a flu day, but today I'm out of bed and doing my chores. Hang in there - drink LOTS of water, tea, jello, popsicles. I did not take any fever reducers, but I monitored my temp in case it got over 102. I'm giving myself the option of taking it easy today.

(15,364 posts)I had my first yesterday and have no side effects aside from minor arm soreness. Im hearing, though, that the second shot is way more likely to cause side effects.

(537 posts)Congrats! Experienced similar w my pneumonia vaccine last year. I'd give anything for 1x Vaccine this week. Became a Grandmother last summer, my last time touching my sweetpea was October. I see her about 1x a week. At this point I'd tolerate puking my guts up to hug my child again.

(25,816 posts)My county (Cochise in Az) apparently can't get any vaccine. I'm 70 and have yet to get shot #1.
I think it's being delivered by mule, a slow and old mule.
