whackjob, and this post caused me to re-listen. Huh! I also l live in N GA, farther east, and she doesn't have much of a southern accent at all. Her very first words came out slightly southern, but as she continued virtually nonexistent. She grew up in the metro Atlanta area, full of transplants from the rest of the nation, and likely with the typical immersion in TV homogenization. And she hasn't yet done a "Senator (not THE) John Kennedy" and affected a phony hardscrabble farmer accent. Wait for it?

Kennedy's old family, educated Ivy League and at Oxford, written several books on economic issues. He can get away with it, but she's in grave danger of it being believed by his peers.
