Biden was not my first choice in the primaries, but I got behind him in the campaign, and I am profoundly happy that I did.
He is shaping up to be a transformational president. The things he does and accomplishes may well benefit Americans for decades to come.
Also, Biden is clearly a very decent and moral man, a loving husband, father and grandfather.
We elected a real winner here.

Joe is doing great! I'm very happy with just about everything so far, except maybe that keep-on-fracking thing.
The press conferences are delightfully wonky and boring.

He really showed what his priorities are out of the gate. Progressives right now should be ecstatic.

(11,686 posts)If he hadn't run Beto was my choice. Harris would have been my choice except I did not feel this country was ready to accept a female president. I felt a female vice president would be accepted. Well, at least for me we got exactly what I wanted. I love having president Biden and vice president Harris.

(90,017 posts)after Inslee bailed, to Biden. With absolutely NO regrets whatsoever! Especially with Bidens emphasis on the climate crisis as one of his top priorities. That, alone, is enough to keep me solidly with him. I vote for my planet first, last, and always.

I didn't think I'd re-live the 60s, but we are. Never thought I'd see another Nixon/impeachment, but I have.
Now I think I am about to live through another FDR-like era.

(26,357 posts)The American public had low standards this time - they just wanted a POTUS that's potty-trained and understands object permanence.
But Biden's really come out strong - executive orders on everything from climate to trans-rights to stimulus to actually putting COVID vaccine logistics together (which the last manbaby in chief didn't even start).
That and Biden's also speaking to the nation - straight talk on the pandemic, memorial for all the people dead of Trump Lung, speeches on climate, inequality and inequity for the Black community and other marginalized groups, the economy, etc. He's actually behaving like an adult when speaking with the press. Also, it looks like Biden & most of the other Dems aren't making the mistake of thinking the GOP's operating in good faith, so they'll have very limited patience for using the filibuster as an unlimited Mitch veto, or for Lucy-and-the-football games.
Damn, I missed having a President that knows how to president!

(7,715 posts)Other than perhaps President Clinton or BHO, there is not a single person alive who was more qualified to become President in 2020 than Joseph R. Biden, Jr.
He is the perfect person for this role, and I am so very happy that he is there.
I had originally wanted Elizabeth Warren to be his VP. However, after the George Floyd protests began, and Trump went off on his "law and order" shite, I realized that Kamala Harris was the perfect VP choice for Joe Biden. She was the San Francisco DA and California Attorney General, in addition to her four years in the Senate and wonderful experience on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Also, CA has a D governor to appoint her successor, whereas MA did not.
President Biden and Vice-President Harris are the perfect team. They ran a FLAWLESS campaign, and they are continuing to succeed in office.
