Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), a gun-toting supporter of the QAnon movement, is facing backlash after she was accused of live-tweeting House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-CA) location during the attack on Capitol Hill last week.

Boebert shared the tweet soon after President Donald Trump's supporters stormed the Capitol with deadly results.

"The Speaker has been removed from the chambers," Boebert wrote.

users responded by calling for the freshman representative to be jailed and removed from Congress.

"@FBIWFO please arrest @laurenboabert for aiding and abetting those who were hunting down @SpeakerPelosi on Jan, 6th by tweeting the Speaker's whereabouts," one person responded. "She's 5ft tall, 100 pounds and carries a Glock (and won't stop telling everyone)."

"@SpeakerPelosi you need to have her removed with every fight that you have. This is nothing short of an attempt on your life," another Twitter user agreed.

Boebert has made no secret of her intent to bring a handgun to the Capitol complex, where lawmakers are exempt from otherwise strict prohibitions on firearms, so long as they're stored in the members' offices and transported safely and unloaded. Democrats considered a change to the rules that would have barred even members of Congress from bringing guns to the Capitol, but the rules package introduced by House leaders last week included no change to the policy.

The current guidelines for weapons in the Capitol is set by the Capitol Police Board, which includes the sergeants-at-arms of the House and Senate, the architect of the Capitol and the chief of the Capitol Police. Lawmakers have been exempted by the board from the restrictions for decades.

So she can take a gun to the Capitol complex, but she has to keep it in her office there. She can carry a concealed weapon in the city of Washington DC if she has a permit to do so. What she cannot do, either in the complex or in the city, is open carry. This is what she wanted to do because in reality that Glock of hers is a fashion accessory.

Looks like she is in trouble with the DC police for publishing a video of herself walking through Capitol Hill with said fashion accessory apparently strapped to her leg.

This tweet was a signal sent out to whomever. I doubt she was communicating directly to any person or group but, rather, generally, to any and all who might find the information useful.

I don’t think she will get in legal jeopardy over this because she’ll just say she was tweeting in the moment to let people know what was happening. Unless there are people on the other end who testify that she told them she’d keep in touch if they attacked the building, I don’t know that she’ll get any more than a hand slap.

Of course as revoltingly (pun intended) stupid as these people are, she might tell the F.B.I. that she did it to alert the attackers not to seek Nancy Pelosi in the chambers because she’d left.
