(8,514 posts)I loved it! Hysterical!!!
Side note: I was talking about "life" (or maybe "death"
with one of my grandsons, and told him that when my time comes I don't want heroic measures taken. And I want him to sing at my bedside, "Let her go, let her go....."
He got a funny look on his face, but he knows I'm serious. He said, "I'm not going to do that." I told him he just had to. Everyone would burst out laughing, and they all know that's what I'd want. My poor grandson has a very quirky grandmother.

(317 posts)It's both to compile a hail Mary toss to the Supremes and their delay bullshit in recounts, etc. are the hail Mary attempt to get state legislatures to certify Trump instead of Biden and throw it into the House. It ain't rocket science......

(40,365 posts)The best lawyers who have a solid case win in the lower courts and force the other team to appeal all the way to SCOTUS.
And SCOTUS is no sure thing as Roberts and Kavanaugh are Bush people. Bush selected Roberts for the Supreme Court and heavily endorsed Kavanaugh. My guess, and it's just a guess, is that the best Trump can expect from SCOTUS is a 5-4 loss.
"One of Brett Kavanaugh's staunchest supporters in his nomination for the Supreme Court has been former President George W. Bush, who, according to reports reached out to undecided senators to persuade them to confirm the judge.
According to the Washington Post, Bush has lobbied senators Susan Collins, Jeff Flake and Lisa Murkowski, as well as Democratic Senator Joe Manchin, because they are unlikely to be persuaded by President Trump."

(38,635 posts)for it to take that long to prepare the one paragraph appeal . . . (using the canned template I'm sure any competent attorney set up the minute they filed the first case . . . well . . . maybe they are starting from scratch each time, on a manual typewriter.)

(3,076 posts)a reversal from the appellate court. Dismissals with prejudice are standard whenever the reason for the dismissal relates to the substantive merits of the lawsuit, as with a summary judgment dismissal, or, in this case, a Rule 12(b)(6) dismissal for failure to state a claim upon which relief may be granted.
This appeal is totally expected - Rudy said it was coming. The suspense will be whether the Supreme Court will decide to hear an appeal from the 3rd circuit, which is expected to rule against Trump.

They may need another lawyer to file papers at 3rd circuit as Giuliani is not admitted there and the only attorney currently on the case who is is designated as inactive
