1. Trump can just pardon himself, his family and his administration. It will almost certainly be upheld because our flawed constitution provides almost no limits to the pardon power.

2. He wouldn’t barter a Supreme Court appointee that he sees as being loyal to himself for a Biden pardon.

3. If Trump couldn’t pardon himself his first option would be resign and have Pence pardon him, not trust Biden to do so in January.

4. Trump’s real legal jeopardy comes from the State prosecutions and not from the DOJ.

Make the deal, and once the other party has performed, laugh heartily and move to arrest....

Watch Sen. Whitehouse’s presentations at the hearing, especially the first one. The powers that be will not let this chance escape them.

I just don't see it happening unless lots of Republican Senators start (quickly) abandoning Trump on the confirmation vote. So far, there have been no new defections.

...seats to push Barrett on the court. That shows the power of the Federalist Society. But Trump cares only for himself, he would throw his own children under the bus to save his own skin.
Republicans are jumping ship, Bill Barr and Pompeo have stepped away from the chopping block, the writing is finally on the wall, but the sad thing is that a Trump can’t read. Maybe Hope Hicks will read it to him.

It's the Federalist Society's. Their agenda is bigger than Trump. They couldn't care less if he loses as long as they get what they want.

If any Federal charges are moot, New York has got this.

And that SC seat is crucial.

Expanding the court will be difficult if even possible.
Adding Puerto Rico and DC as states which adds 4 senators presumably Democrats, likely needs done 1st to have the votes to pull off expanding the court.
As much as I would love to see Trump In an orange jumpsuit and suffer at least some of the pain that he has caused, yep I would cut the deal.

Prosecuted.

Sure, they’ll probably prosecute some more underlings, but they’re never going to prosecute Trump himself or even his family. I’m tired of that delusion on here.

There would be no point in Trump agreeing to this deal.
