Dancing and drinking champagne while elbow bumping everyone and singing Glory Glory Hallejuliah with some new lyrics inserted or Ding Dong the Witch is Dead? That's what would be happening in my household.

My wife often speculates that it would be an instant "Hail Dorothy!" situation, with all of Turd's sycophants suddenly turning on him.

Due to that, I think it is inappropriate here. You confirm that sarcasm downthread, as well.

We can feel whatever we feel with regard to Donald J. Trump, but not all expressions of how we feel are appropriate for Democratic Underground, I think.

I will not express my feelings about this situation online. I will keep them to myself.

We're a long way from Generalissimo Francisco Franco yet.

But statistically I'd guess even odds that at least one passenger on that helicopter ride of the damned will punch that particular button. It's a cliffhanger as to which cast members get renewed for next season

29. He's still more likely than not to survive

Oct 2020

In his age range, if he gets sick enough to require hospitalization, the base mortality rate is about 5%...but his weight alone at least triples the odds.

Even in the 15-20% range, it's about the same as Russian roulette - pun unintentional - but with a virus instead of a bullet in the chamber.

Long-term health issues are I think less well-understood but I've seen reports of anywhere up to 30% of survivors having long-term impairment. Odds still in his favor but definitely not optimal.

There's a lot that can happen and we can imagine karmic justice, I'm hesitant to predict it. Right now he's playing odds that a sane person would avoid and in that case he accepts the consequences, no matter how dire. I'm with you on that!

I am not wishing for anything to happen to him, however, it is impossible to feel sympathy for the man who has done so much to weaken and divide the country.
