7. Considering Trump kept pushing for a live, traditional convention for so long...

...I doubt the Republicans have put in anywhere near enough time to pull off the logistics of something like this virtual convention. What the Democrats have done isn't perfect, but for a first-time thing, they're doing a damn good job.

It's really hard to imagine the Republican version being anything but a train wreck, technically speaking.

I'm sure it will be a train wreck content-wise too, but that'll be design, of course, that's what the "base" eats up.

Perhaps the red meat won't be as satisfying, however, if it's saddled by clumsy production values, dropped feeds, and missing audio.
