That is, until 2019. On October 31, 2019, the White House quietly issued a new proclamation, naming November as National American History and Founders month. Trumps proclamation was filled with language that was not dissimilar to language found in white nationalist literature, softened just enough to pass the public relations filters in the White House.
Of course, what he means is the white history of this nation.
Our Nations patriots and heroes have always been guided by the belief that America must shine brightly out into the world. Indeed, this conviction has been at the forefront of the American experiment since our founding. This month, we acknowledge the tremendous strides we have made as a people and recognize that our democracys survival is dependent upon a well-informed electorate. To ensure the success of our future generations, we pledge to continue to build a more educated citizenry. We heed the warning of President Ronald Reagan that freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.

(56,198 posts)He could have dedicated some other month to white history. But that might imply the white people were merely equal to minorities, so he had to trample on minorities to make his point.
Well, in fairness, I guess this is a fitting way to mark white history in America, particularly in regard to treatment of native Americans....

(26,168 posts)You know he doesn't think of all of these awful things to do all by himself. He's surrounded by a pack of helpers who come up with this dreck for him.

he is always spewing his zero tolerance. I hope our Democratic leaders have their eyes and ears on him.
He has been flying under the radar.

(20,591 posts)'Donald Trump Appreciation Month' for chrissakes!
We should ask the Democratic candidates, "will you expunge every trace of Donald Trump's presidency when you take office?" If they answer "no", they're not fit to be president.
What a despicable piece of shit.
I hope every Native American votes to expunge the republican party from American history.

(46,142 posts)The WH issued two declarations. One for Native American Heritage Month and one for this new (and unnecessary) National American History and Founders Month.
I'm not justifying what Trump did, just pointing out that the Native American Heritage Month wasn't actually "rejected"

(9,685 posts)How could this not be a rejection. There there native peoples... you go have your month quietly in the corner, while we celebrate you genocide and subjugation over here...heh, I think the rejection is obvious.

Puppet Sharpie's very first proclamation designated his inauguration a religious(-sounding) event, but no normal human being celebrates that holiday either.

Can we give a show of support for Native people by adverising November as Native American Heritage month on social media and on t-shirts, signs, stickers, etc.?

(8,103 posts)a second proclamation, it is entirely inappropriate to do it in the month when we have been celebrating Native Americans, and during the Thanksgiving holiday season.
You know what one local tribe did when California granted them the right to open a legal casino? They took out a full page newspaper ad thanking the public for voting yes to it. I never forgot this because I had never seen anyone do that before. It was very classy and instructive in good manners.
If I recall correctly, Australia would not let tRump invest in a piece of property there because it was well known to them that tRump was hooked up with the mob in Georgia. So much for tRump casinos.
Eff Trump.
