2 men accused of shooting each other while wearing a bulletproof vest

yeah, there's the 2A, but the sad fact is, not many people are mentally capable of gun ownership.

ROGERS, Ark. — Two Arkansas men have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault after police say they shot each other while taking turns wearing a bulletproof vest.

The Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that 50-year-old Charles Ferris and 36-year-old Christopher Hicks were arrested Monday.

A police affidavit says the two men are neighbors and were drinking on a deck Sunday when Ferris told Hicks to shoot him with a .22-caliber rifle while Ferris wore the vest. The affidavit says the shot left a red mark on Ferris' chest and that he was angry because it hurt.

"Angry because it hurt?" Not sure the muzzle velocity of a .22 rifle, but it's still gonna hurt like a kick in the ribs.

Should have shot each other in the head.

Do they expect bullets will just bounce off?

News flash: TV is not the real world.

show characters at least getting bruised/cracked ribs when hit in the vest area. That's fairly realistic, I think.

I guess the were thinking that a .22 was more like a BB gun or something.

The original article correctly describes the vest as "bullet-resistant".

"Benton County sheriff's Deputy Dorian Hendrix went to Mercy Hospital about 11 p.m. Sunday to investigate a man who had been shot multiple times while wearing a bullet-resistant vest, according to the affidavit."
