3. It was such a luxury when I moved from a 6-ish party line

to a 2 party line in the late 70s.

Lessons learned from party lines might help some of the tell-all generations: Don't say anything on the phone (facebook, twitter, internet) that you don't want your mother (or future voters) to know about - because the party line is not private - and someone will tell her.
