(56,848 posts)That said, Christie has a background in the law, and is at least intelligent, moderately competent and probably as a good fit for the job as Trump can get.
The Velveteen Ocelot
(130,533 posts)for a Trump admin job as he was right after the election. If he still wants to work there then he's dumber than I thought. Also, he's enough of an egomaniac that he and Trump would start fighting within hours.

(15,675 posts)But you have to consider the possibility. He and Trump were chummy at one point, and they're both racist fucks who hate immigrants. But he did lose, and Trump hates losers. I'd have to say there's about 50-50 odds on his at least being on a list of possibles.

(41,634 posts)But seriously, why does it have to be somebody famous? Cheeto needs a person who really knows how government works, like for example, someone who has done this before. His biggest problem (besides the obvious) is that nobody he's hired in the last 2 years has a clue how to do their job. A real, experienced Chief of Staff would be a welcome relief after all this chaos. Stop looking for super-stars and start looking for somebody that's competent and experienced.

Or.....pick any of your favorites from the top ten.

Santorum is out and Christie wouldn't last a week in the job.. that leaves Perry. He's not too bright, but I'm sure he can compare the salaries and change desks if it means more money.

(11,949 posts)Why have we not heard much about Perry ratfucking his department? Like with the EPA and Interior?
I think he is smart enough to kick back and let the staff run the show. He aint giving that gig up for one that requires work.
