I lived on base beside the river in the two-story quarters in the early 80s. I've been thinking that the flooding there would be bad, and I'm hoping people did evacuate. The last news I heard about it, the base wasn't evacuated, and it's getting a real pounding.

New Bern, which is just upstream was flooding last night and the river hadn't crested yet.
