Come on, face it. Ryan is too Palin, just without the illiteracy

Both were chosen as desperation moves to rope in the critical far right segment of the repub voters. Both harbor nightmarish and nearly cartoonish visions for the socioeconomic safety nets - chop 'em off at the ankles. This may wind up becoming the MO for future repub candidacies: pick a reichwinger to take the spotlight off the dull or simply troubled presidential candidate. I don't see him bringing any more votes in than Ms. Gotcha.

harbor nightmarish visions for the country (as do most pukes), but he's not Palin. And I don't think, with the exception of LBJ, that there are too many vp picks that actually sway the vote much one way or the other.

The campaign knew that nothing short of a hard right turn would keep the attention of its increasingly wacked voter base, even at the risk of losing a few moderates. I'm not saying he shares the general ditziness of Palin, just her unmistakable brand of shrill right-wingery. She only lacked a signature such as the Ryan budget.
