(12,003 posts)My ex bass player was in town and we went to dinner. He had a brain tumor and cyst that had to be removed. It was successful but it left him permanently disabled. It's as if he had a stroke. His whole left side is permanently affected. He's a great guy. It was a travesty. Why him and not some of these evil scumbags?

(44,558 posts)My brother died at 40 as well, of a fulminating heart attack while playing golf with my BIL, a doctor, with a group of friends, also doctors, within sight of the hospital. Even so, nothing could be done.
His last words were "I am so happy".

(440 posts)My husband died of a massive heart attack at age 57. I tried to save him, but couldnt. He was a good person too. I know what youre saying, & its sad that the young die. I had a 4 year old son pass as well, itll be 34 years in Nov.

(63,221 posts)She was so young. Her children must be devastated. It is just so sad that good, decent people are taken too soon and so many evil, hateful bastards seem to live forever despite their terrible health habits. It just doesn't seem fair.

A memorial in her name is set up for the Kindergarten class department. I think this is cool. so that Shaley's dreams of setting up STEM learning centers will be set up.
